I shook my head, sure that my voice would abandon me with his closeness. Everything around me evaporated as I looked into his brilliant amber eyes. They looked like liquid gold, swirling and mesmerizing me. How had I not seen him before? I was sure I would remember him.
William let go of my hand to cup my cheek, angling my head upwards. He bent down until our lips were only a hair's breadth apart. Arousal coursed through me, and I clenched in anticipation. I could smell his breath and the tantalizing cologne that suited him so well.
