This is a story about a shopping cart named Charlene. One day I noticed a number of shopping carts abandoned in neighborhoods and on the side of the road. As I looked at the abandoned shopping carts, I felt sorry for them and that is when I got the idea for "Charlene the Shopping Cart." Hopefully, I can influence children not to take the carts from the parking lot and to remember this story as they grow into adults. Charlene had quite an adventure getting back home.
