Cette nouvelle édition de Chaîne des puys / Faille de Limagne, préfacée par Romain Bardet et dotée d'un avant-propos de Jean-Michel Chopin démontre que malgré son inscription sur la liste du Patrimoine mondial qui a ouvert le site à un autre public, celui-ci reste très approprié par les riverains et visiteurs locaux qui l'ont fréquenté de tous temps.

Terrain de découverte et d'oxygénation, cet ensemble géologique et paysager d'exception magnifié par les clichés de Gérard Fayet constituant autant d'invitations à la découverte, reste empreint de naturalité en dépit des nombreux usages que l'on peut y observer. L'enjeu est donc de taille : maintenir ces usages en harmonie en dépit d'une fréquentation accrue et conserver un esprit naturel au lieu.

Partant du principe que l'on fait davantage attention à ce que l'on connaît mieux, nous avons à coeur de vous proposer cette nouvelle approche in situ.

This new edition of Chaîne des puys / Faille de Limagne, with a preface by Romain Bardet and a foreword by Jean-Michel Chopin, shows that despite its inscription on the World Heritage List, which opened the site to a different public, it remains dear to the local residents and visitors who have visited it for long.

A land of discovery and oxygenation, this exceptional geological and landscaped site, magnified by the photographs of Gérard Fayet, is an invitation to discovery and remains full of naturalness despite the many uses that can be observed there. The challenge is therefore a major one : to maintain these uses in harmony despite the increased number of visitors and to preserve the natural spirit of the site.

As we pay more attention to what we know, we were keen to propose this new in situ approach.
