"Now you've done it," Varill complained as Lianna rolled to her side and curled into a ball on Stellar's bed. "She's crying. I hate it when they cry."

"Give her a few minutes. She'll get over it. She's still a slave and you can tell it's a life she was born for."

Varill grunted and sat down at the small round table with Lianna, poured himself a cup of wine, and waited. The two weren't the least bit disturbed at the emotional welfare of Stellar's slave. They had been through this before.

Eventually Lianna cried herself out and the two warriors, by mutual and unspoken agreement, approached the bed. "Time to earn your keep," Stellar announced to Lianna as she helped Varill out of his tunic and breeches. His chest was covered with thick, curly black hair that matched the hair he kept closely cropped on his head. Lianna stared blankly at the pair and didn't look away. He was either naturally randy or was extremely eager.

"Lay back," he ordered her as she started to turn over.

Oddly, she felt nervous. She was a slave and was born for this role, she knew.

"Is she ready?" Stellar asked, interrupting the moment.

Varill grunted. "Yeah. She's a slave, a centaur's wife. She's always willing."
