Il rassemble ainsi un florilège de textes de la Tradition, connus et inconnus, d'une exceptionnelle richesse. Publié pour la première fois en 1938, à la veille de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, « Catholicisme » annonçait déjà les perspectives ouvertes à l'Église catholique par le IIe concile du Vatican.
