This is a is a real life/fiction children's story, that takes place in a Yellow Stone National Park. While camping out, Randy, a five year old, wanders away from his parents and gets lost in the forest. The story opens with the search party searching the forest. After hours of walking, Randy, finds himself in a Alice in Wonderland setting, where forest creatures can talk, i.e. Butterfly and Bumble Bee. Randy joins them and ask to be taught how to fly, to speak the language of insects and birds, etc. They both agree to teach, and minutes turn in to hours in the class. Finally, the search party reaches the area close to Randy and theirs calls are heard by all. Realizing that the calls are for the little boy (Randy), Butter Fly and Bumble Bee decide to comfort Randy so that he will respond to the callers. Now Randy calls out to the search party and gives his location. He stays put so that the search party will find him quicker. Soon, Randy is discovered near the big tall tree in the forest with Butter Fly and Bumble Bee who are now their normal size and react like normal insects, except their friendliness to Randy. They both sat on Randy's shoulders to protect him.
