Très tôt dans sa pratique, Bruno Rousselot (né en 1957) réalise des projets in situ. Pourtant, la question du tableau est centrale dans la recherche de l'artiste et occupe une grande partie de sa production lors de sa résidence à New York, de 1987 à 1997 De retour en France, au début des années 2000, sa peinture se déplace à nouveau dans l'espace et prend place dans l'architecture.

Du dessin à l'espace, en prenant comme point de départ I. n° 0, l'installation picturale réalisée en 2013 dans le cadre du 1 % artistique à l'hôtel Dupanloup à Orléans et inaugurée en 2014, présente l'ensemble des réalisations in situ et wall painting de l'artiste, mis en relation avec sa pratique de peinture et de dessin.

Very early in his career as an artist, Bruno Rousselot, born in 1957, began working on site-specific projects. Nonetheless, the picture remained a core concern and accounted for a large part of his output during his New York years (1987-1997). On his return to France in the early 2000s his painting reverted to the spatial, in combination with architecture.

Du dessin à l'espace takes as its starting point I. n° 0, the painting installation dating from 2013, financed by France's 1 % for Art scheme andinaugurated in 2014 at the Hotel Dupanloup in Orléans. This book brings together all the artist's site-specific works and wall paintings and situates them in relation to his painting and drawing practice.
