Noise has the same adverse effect on general health and well-being as chronic stress. It adversely affects future generations by degrading residential, social, and learning environments with corresponding economic losses. Several researchers worldwide have studied the urban noise pollution showing that noise pollution is becoming a severe problem in the urban environment, and Ahmedabad city is no exception to it.
