Inevitably there have been numerous shipwrecks along the wildly beautiful coastline and other maritime aspects are covered including the struggle to gain a harvest from the sea. Famous residents from the past are remembered here, among them Victor Hugo, General Boulanger, and the "Jersery Lily," Lillie Langtry.
