Summary:

Dr. Aubrey Prentice has opened a private psychiatry practice in her hometown of Orchard Park, New York. The only problem? She has no patients. Enter Ian Henshaw Senior, manufacturing magnate of Henshaw Industries, whom Aubrey meets at the Orchard Park Country Club.
An old-fashioned company man, Ian Henshaw Senior feels like his manufacturing empire is suffering due to the immoral values of his male employees. He proposes a plan of mental health sessions to evaluate his workers and pinpoint their failings to improve their productivity.
Dr. Aubrey Henshaw, realizing this is the end of her financial worries, accepts Ian Senior's proposal.
Enter patient zero: Ian Henshaw III, heir apparent to Henshaw Industries. A bad-boy rebel who dares Aubrey to tame him, he falls in love with Aubrey and seduces her during their psychotherapy sessions.
In the meantime, Aubrey's practice is thriving with her new business from Henshaw Industries. She compiles her case studies and plans to publish a book on her findings.
As she becomes more involved in analyzing her patients, however, her book is becoming more personal. She fantasizes about what it would be like to marry Ian.
Ian continues to aggressively pursue Aubrey in their psychotherapy sessions after divorcing his wife, Hope. She resists, but starts playing the same games Ian has started.
Aubrey enlists her assistant Jennifer to help her organize the psychotherapy files into a provocative narrative of steamy stories. Jennifer becomes personally involved in the process when she starts dating one of the patients.
