Alexandre Ananoff a été, bien avant les premiers passagers de vaisseaux spatiaux, un « Astronaute », c'est-à-dire, selon sa propre définition, l'un de ceux qui s'intéressent à la science des fusées et du voyage dans l'espace : l'astronautique. De la fin des années vingt au lancement du premier Spoutnik en octobre 1957, il en a surtout été l'un des promoteurs majeurs, organisant notamment le premier Congrès international d'astronautique et conseillant Hergé pour les aventures lunaires de Tintin. La biographie complète du pionnier est ici révisée, à l'occasion des trente ans de sa disparition.
