What does it mean to surrender to God wholeheartedly, pledging one's obedience to the Lord for life? To several noted figures in stories of the Bible, it meant choosing the narrow path and believing God to make miraculous changes in their existence. Several of these stories are recounted in author Susan Kuruvilla's new book, Acts of Implicit Obedience and Surrender to the Lord Jesus Vol. 2. Readers will be exposed, or experience again, recognized biblical stories, such as Jesus feeding five thousand, Samson and Delilah and Mary Magdalene, through the author's story interpretation. Some stories, such as Jesus raising Lazarus and the events leading to the beheading of John the Baptist, are interpreted by Susan as examples of Jesus being the Bread of Life. Concluding each story is a message proclaiming that God made us in the image of Christ and being obedient to God shows Jesus more in us.
