Celie's involvement deepens after a frantic client, Lorelei Tate, who knew too much, vanishes, leaving behind a crucial purse containing invoices that expose the historical theft.

Detective Miles Corbin tries to keep Celie and her suspect boyfriend, Rhys, away from the case, but the murder hits too close to home for Celie's ghostly crew. The victim's killer is a distant relative of Major Beauregard, who has been stealing items from a hidden journal the Major left behind.
